BPI Welcomes Mike Weatherley Report On Copyright Education (BPI - British Phonographic Industry)

(Source: BPI - British Phonographic Industry) Friday 10th October - Mike Weatherley MP, the Prime Minister's Adviser on Intellectual Property (IP), has today released a report focusing on Copyright Education and Awareness. The discussion paper commends the efforts of rights holders to educate the public about the importance of copyright but recommends that greater measures and coordination would be welcomed in this area.  The creative and digital industries should seek to address knowledge gaps, especially amongst younger consumers, to establish the benefits and importance of IP to creators, consumers and the UK economy.
